TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated May 25, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, applications, and services provided by Fox Family Futures LLC (doing business as Things They Skipped) ("we," "us," or "our") (the "Services"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. The Service

Things They Skipped is an AI-powered life intelligence platform that provides financial calculators, market briefings, practical guides, planning tools, and other educational content for everyday Americans. Some features are free; others require a paid subscription.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it when it changes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are offered at the following published rates:

  • Pro Monthly — $7.99 per month, billed monthly.
  • Annual — $79.99 per year, billed annually.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless cancelled before the renewal date. Payment is processed by Stripe; by subscribing, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method for the applicable fees, taxes, and any surcharges.

We may change subscription prices on a going-forward basis. Material price changes will be communicated to active subscribers in advance, and the new price will apply to your next renewal.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you retain access to paid features through the end of the current billing period.

Refunds: if you cancel within seven (7) days of your initial paid subscription purchase, you may request a full refund of that initial charge by emailing support@thingstheyskipped.com. After seven (7) days, fees are non-refundable, including any partial billing periods, renewal charges, and annual-plan charges. We may grant refunds outside this window at our sole discretion, and doing so once does not create any obligation to do so again.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any illegal activity or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Abuse, overload, scrape, or otherwise misuse the AI features — including attempts to bypass rate limits, extract underlying model prompts or weights, generate content that violates the policies of our AI service providers, or resell AI outputs as a competing service.
  • Use the Services to generate or distribute content that is harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to interfere with, probe, or compromise the security or integrity of the Services, including unauthorized access, denial-of-service attempts, or reverse engineering.
  • Share your account or paid access with others, or use a single account on behalf of multiple people or organizations.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section without notice and without refund.

6. AI Disclaimer — Educational Only, Not Professional Advice

The Services include AI-generated content, calculators, briefings, and guides. All content is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, mental-health, nutritional, or other professional advice. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.

Do not rely on the Services as the sole basis for any decision with legal, financial, medical, or safety consequences. Consult a licensed professional before acting on anything you read here. You are solely responsible for your decisions and outcomes.

7. Intellectual Property

The Services, including all software, text, graphics, branding, and original content, are owned by Fox Family Futures LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of any content you submit; by submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it as needed to operate and improve the Services.

8. Third-Party Services

The Services rely on third-party providers, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Anthropic (AI). Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages or actions.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fox Family Futures LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fox Family Futures LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to active accounts. Continued use of the Services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oregon, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
